Lighten Up!

Do you find it hard to be cheerful when you look at all that is taking place around you? Are you discouraged by the path our nation is on? Does your heart feel heavy and weighed down by care? It’s easy to become discouraged, and that’s why we must do as King David did in  1 Samuel 30:6 KJV,  David encouraged himself in the Lord his God.” We must encourage ourselves in the Lord.

The Bible is alive and well: and gives us instructions on how to live during these trying times.  Look at Philippians 2:15 KJV, “That ye be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world;”  Remember the words of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ when he said, “Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.  Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house.” Matthew 5:14-15 KJV.  The darker this world gets, the brighter the Light of the World shines. Isn’t that what life is really about?  The Light of the World is Jesus.

So, lighten up, my friends, and let your light so shine before men.  Jesus is coming soon!
