Free From Bondage
The New Testament is full of good news to Christians. It reminds us we are free from the power of sin, from the dictates of the world, and from the power of the devil. Jesus Christ said in John 8:36 KJV, “If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.” However, we are not to use our freedom to sin or to fulfill the lust of our flesh. Rather, we are free to serve Christ.
The Bible says in Galatians 5:13 KJV, “For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another.” We are set free from sin so that we are free to love our brothers and sisters in Christ and to serve them rather than serving ourselves and sin.
When Jesus Christ sets us free, our desires change. We begin to think of others more. Look at what the Bible says in Romans 6:18 KJV, “Being then made free from sin, ye became the servants of righteousness.” We, who were once self-centered and self-edifying are now able to be considerate if others . Jesus Christ said, “… Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me. ” Matthew 25:40b KJV. By serving others, we are serving Christ.
Are you walking in the freedom Christ has given you? Are you using your freedom in righteousness?
The time is short, my friends. As the poem by C.T Studd goes, “Only one life twill soon be passed and only what’s done for Christ shall last.” “Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.” Galatians 5:1 KJV. b

Yes, I agree. He has given us freedom and free will. How will we choose to live those out? Amen.
