Here we are at the end of another year. It is tempting to close the chapter and kiss 2022 goodbye; however, be mindful to finish strong. “Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.” the Bible tells us in Ephesians 6:10 KJV.
Are there any loose ends you need to tie up before the close of this year? Did you fulfill your God-given purpose this year? Now is a good time to take an assessment. Why not go to God in prayer and ask him to reveal the areas where you did his will and the areas you leaned upon your own strength rather than his?
Time is short here on earth. The Bible says in James 4:14 KJV, “Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away.” We don’t know when any one of us will be called home. All of us have been given a set amount of time here on earth and a purpose specific to each one of us. Do you know what your purpose is? Are you living in alignment with that purpose? There truly is no better place to be than right with God. May this be your ultimate goal for today, tomorrow, and for 2023.
