Calm Assurance
How are you feeling right now? Are you feeling calm or stressed out? What are you thinking at this very moment? Your thoughts will affect how you feel. How you feel will affect what you do, what you don’t do, or/and how you react to your situation.
“ And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.” Romans 8:28 KJV. Do you believe this is true? If so, why do you stress out and worry?
It’s because you haven’t allowed the truth to sink into your soul. You may “know” something intellectually, but not “know” something in your soul.
The proper definition of the word know in the context of this passage of Scripture means, “12. To have full assurance of; to have satisfactory evidence of any thing, though short of certainty.” Noah Webster’s 1828 Dictionary https://webstersdictionary1828.com/Dictionary/know
Do you have full assurance that all things work together for good to those who love God, to them who are called according to his purpose, even though things look or appear to be uncertain? Do you believe God’s Word or your own thoughts? Do you have calm assurance that God is in complete control of every circumstance in your life; if you are his child?
The Bible says in Numbers 23:19 KJV, “God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?” God is never the problem, my friend. Most times, it is your own thinking that is the problem.
