Forward Motion

Are you making forward motion so far in 2022? Are you seeing progress in the Godly goals you set or are you back to your old ways? Are there any obstacles standing in your way? What is your plan to handle these obstacles? Today is a good day to do an assessment.
Last week’s blog was about failure being a natural part of life here on earth. If you haven’t read it, please go back and read it for some added encouragement. Questions were asked as to how you personally handle failure in your own life. Will you learn to look at failure in a biblical light and think of it the way God does or will you continue in the same old patterns of thinking that keep you captive to the flesh and status quo? God calls us to be renewed in our minds that we may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. Romans 12:2b KJV
Recently, I read a quote from a ThinWithin.org booklet that said something close to this, “Failure is only true failure when we choose to give up.” How true this is! Although, we stumble and fall, fail and make mistakes, we are able, through Christ, to get back up, brush ourselves off, figuratively speaking, and keep making forward motion for the Lord!
Many times, what we believe is a failure, is simply a stepping stone in the learning process. Think back to a time when you tried and failed, tried and failed, tried and failed, but then one day, you succeeded! Winston Churchill said, “Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts.” What wisdom and truth! Take courage, my friends, and keep making forward motion because even when we succeed, it is not final. Failure is sure to be just around the corner; however, as long as we are making forward motion, we will one day reach the mark. The Bible says in Philippians 3:13-14, “Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.”
Keep on making forward motion for your labour is not in vain in the Lord!

Thank you so much for your encouragement!
These weekly blogs have been such an ENCOURAGEMENT. Sound Bible based advice. Well written with plenty of Bible references and straight to the point. Really good thought and action provoking content. Its the kind of concepts you would expect from a ground Christian mentor.
I’m so happy to hear you’ve been encouraged, as that’s an answered prayer of mine. Thank you for your kind words of encouragement.
