To Serve or Not To Serve

Today is Veteran’s Day and I want to thank each and every individual who  served or serves and protects the freedom’s we hold dear. The Bible says in John 15:13 KJB, “Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.”

Are you willing to lay down your life for your friends?  It has been said that it is easier to do one heroic act that leads to death than it is to live a life devoted to others.  Hmm?  Does that convict you as much as it does me?

To lay down your life means you consider others before yourself.  Jesus Christ was the ultimate example of this.  Jesus said in the book of Matthew 20:28, “Even as the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.”
