TIME TO RENEW

   Each year, we renew our auto registration, here in New Hampshire, so we may keep driving our vehicle on public roads.  Those with a gym membership, renew their membership according to the agreement in order to remain an active member.  It seems the process of renewing is just another mundane part of life; but did you know it is the very process in which you may transform your mind and in effect change your very life?

Scripture instructs us to renew our minds in Romans 2:2, “And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may be able to prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.”  Are you able to prove God’s will in your life? Are you living a life of victory or defeat?

  In theology, to renew means, ” to make new; to renovate; to transform; to change from natural enmity to the love of God and his law; to implant holy affections in the heart; to regenerate.” American Dictionary of the English Language Noah Webster’s 1828 Dictionary: ISBN 0-912498-3-x  

 Are you allowing the Holy Spirit to change your thinking from the natural mind to the spiritual? It will be obvious, if you are, because your behavior will change.  And guess what?  When your behavior changes, your life changes, too!  Are you satisfied with where you are spiritually?  If not, it may be time to renew your mind.

You see, our situations don’t cause our behavior, our thinking does!  Contrary to popular belief, our environment does not determine who we become, our thinking about our environment will determine who we become.   Do you want to become more like Christ?  

Here’s some great news:  you and I can be, if we are born-again children of God!  Remember, we already have the mind of Christ, we only need to believe it. So, what time is it?  Is it time to renew your mind?
