Do you enjoy solving mysteries or riddles? How about figuring out a jigsaw puzzle? Some people enjoy solving for fun and recreation; yet, when it comes to solving their own life problems, fewer people take the time to resolve to solve the reason/s why they are so discontent (unhappy) with their lives. Are you one who resolves to solve or do you think that your life is just the way it is and nothing will ever change it?
The definition of the word solve, according to Noah Webster’s 1828 Dictionary is: 1. Properly, to loosen or separate the parts of any thing; hence, to explain; to resolve; to eclaircise; to unfold; to clear up; as what is obscure or difficult to be understood; as, to solve questions; to solve difficulties or a problem. When God shall solve the dark decrees of fate. 2. To remove; to dissipate; as, to solve doubts. https://webstersdictionary1828.com/Dictionary/solve
Have you ever stopped to consider how important it is to solve your doubts about who God says he is, doubts about who God says you are in Christ, and doubts about others? Holding on to doubts, such as these, will keep you in bondage, even when you have been made free in Christ. That is why it is vitally important to resolve any doubts you have that are holding you back from living wholly for God and others.
The word resolve means, “To separate the parts of a complicated question; to unravel; to disentangle perplexities; to remove obscurity by analysis; to clear of difficulties; to explain; as, to resolve questions in moral science; to resolve doubts; to resolve a riddle.” Noah Webster’s 1828 dictionary.
